After serving as Captain for two years on the St. Francis University Division IAA Football Team, Anthony Richards graduated in 2007 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration. Shortly after graduation, Richards employed his standout athletic ability to work out with several National Football League teams. And, he played for an Arena Football League 2 team. Anthony then pursued a career as an electrician. He attended Industrial Management Training Institute and graduated in the top 10% of his class. He accepted a position at A&S Electric. Within six years, Richards was rewarded for his passion, knowledge, and dedication by earning the title of Assistant Chief Officer of Operations.

While developing close relationships with coworkers and clients across New York City, Richards enlisted in the United States Army Reserves. After finishing Basic Combat Training and Officer Candidate School, he was commissioned to the rank of Second Lieutenant. As a Second Lieutenant, Anthony worked closely with entry-level soldiers and maintained strong communication with high-ranking officials. He continued to demonstrate leadership and a passion for others by mentoring young soldiers and by volunteering with Team Rubicon and Habitat for Humanity.
